Mentors for Mom Pancake Breakfast is a fundraiser that will benefit the mentoring program that provides ANSWER Scholarship recipients with mentoring and professional development coaching. ANSWER Scholarship provides educational support for moms who want to show their children the value of continuing their education and breaking the cycle of poverty. North Carolina’s 12th Congressional District has been the home to many banks, textiles, department stores, small businesses, restaurant, farms and many more. With nearly one hundred plus constituents moving to our district daily, jobs have become more of a necessity than ever. U.S. Congresswoman Alma Adams’ staff is currently gathering a list of creditable employers who are offering living wages and have a great impact in our district.

The Community Career Fair will connect attendees with companies, and businesses that currently have jobs available. The goal is to impact unemployment by giving citizens access to information, jobs and a pathway to opportunity. We want to meet the unemployed with jobs with livable wages so that they may continue to take care and nurture their families.
For employers, there will also be a room available for career fair participants to conduct on site interviews.
