FREE PLANT SWAP on Saturday, August 10th at Veterans Park!
WHAT: An opportunity to bring plants and/or garden materials that you don’t want AND leave with something you do want! (NO buying or selling.)
WHEN: Saturday, August 10th from 10:30am-11:30am. Please arrive at 10:15am or sooner as we’ll start promptly at 10:30am. (I will be there at 10:00am.)
WHERE: Veterans Park located at the corner of Main St. and Huntersville-Concord Rd. (We will be near the Farmer’s Market.)
WHO: Anyone and everyone who is interested in sharing/swapping plants and/or other garden materials with their neighbors. Novice gardeners are encouraged to come and learn, and seasoned gardeners are encouraged to come and share their knowledge. You can also ignore the plants and just come socialize with your neighbors.
WHAT TO BRING: Indoor or outdoor plants, flowers, bulbs, bushes, seeds, cuttings, tools, books, buckets, pots, stone path, rocks, trellis, benches and more. (Please be prepared to take back home anything of yours that’s not grabbed during the event.) For the PLANTS, please repot plants into pots and label with their name, color, sun or shade.
GIVEAWAY: A representative from Huntersville Police Department will be there to meet with neighbors, build community and give away swag!
