Recycled Granite - Charlotte

In 2009, Recycled Granite was born after granite countertop consultant Julie Rizzo often saw dumpsters filled with pieces of granite too small for countertops.  After years of research, she established methods, machinery and markets to recycle scrap granite. Her drive, determination and diligence have taken her across the globe to create the Recycled Granite Franchise to promote granite recycling.  The franchise is a network of individuals who work together to make a difference in their local communities and make money at the same time.

Recycled Granite has been recognized in the U.S. Congressional Record twice.  To date, the Recycled Granite Franchise has saved an estimated 80,000,000 pounds of granite remnants from being dumped into landfills. Our proprietary manufacturing processes creates green jobs, manufactures innovative products and stimulates local economies across America.
Huntersville residents, Noel & Carmen Torres own the Charlotte-area franchise and are dedicated towards the company mission of enhancing the community with quality products, innovative solutions and adding more green jobs to our local community. As an active community member and parents, Noel and Carmen are both advocates for giving back to the community and region in which they live. They are committed to being part of a company that gives back.

Recycled granite materials have been featured on DIY & HGTV shows, such as Bath Crashers, Run My Renovation, I Want That and many more. The jaw-dropping beauty of the 500,000,000 year old stone is stunning. Architects, designers, builders and do-it-yourselfers are creating residential and commercial projects everywhere.

Through Recycled Granite's Green Abilities program, individuals with disabilities (mental and physical) go through a Recycled Granite Artisan apprentice certification. The program brings out their inner abilities and teaches them how to specifically work with recycled granite waste. All of their skills have been verified and documented by Department of Labor time tests. To date, Ms. Rizzo has certified over 75 individuals and has made ground-breaking discoveries. Her goal is to duplicate the pilot program throughout the country and put people to work to generate millions of dollars in revenue. Noel and Carmen are looking forward to integrating the Green Abilities program into their operation in Huntersville.

We have a choice …continue to throw away valuable stone or turn it into sellable products. The mission of Recycled Granite is to create jobs, reduce waste and make the world a better place. There are thousands of green jobs being created at Recyled Granite through franchises across the country…all with garbage. These discoveries are changing the world and the lives of individuals everywhere.
